Adopt an Orangutan and Save the Rainforest!

In the year 1900, there were approximately 315,000 Orangutans on the planet. Today it is estimated that there are only 60,000 left in the wild. But you can help save them from extinction by protecting the habitat in which they live: the rainforests of South East Asia. Read on.

Loss Of Habitat

Orangutans live exclusively in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra in South-East Asia. They are in severe danger of extinction due to logging.

Logging is responsible for emitting a large proportion of the carbon dioxide that is driving climate change today. This is because, when trees are cut down and burned, the carbon dioxide they have absorbed from the atmosphere during their lifetime is released.

You can help!

By adopting an Orangutan, you are contributing to the protection of these forests. In doing so you are safeguarding the future of one of our closest relatives as well as helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stop dangerous climate change.

All you have to do is click on the banner, or click here, and fill out the form. The forests are being destroyed as you read this; please do it right away.
